If you are in town or considering visting Charlottesville March 16 – 20, 2016, attending the Virginia Festival of the Book should be on your short list. This festival brings readers and writers together for a five-day celebration of books, reading, literacy and literary culture. Programs range from traditional author readings and book signings to a StoryFest day of children's authors and storybook characters. With the exception of a few ticketed events, the programs are free!
This years marks their 22nd festival and, as in the past, the particpant list is stacked with talent. You'll find me at the following events:
- Corban Addison (The Tears of Dark Water) – I've read nothing but positive reviews for this book. It is next up on my reading list.
- Douglas Brinkley (Rightful Heritage: Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Land of America Cronkite) – Plan to get my history fix with this presentation.
The Book Festival has become an integral part of the Charlottesville-Albemarle County community. Don't miss this opportunity to hear from bestsellers as well as up-and-coming writers.
